1. Who we are
MailSketch, based in India ("MailSketch", "we", "us"), runs the MailSketch email design tool. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what choices you have. Questions: support@mailsketch.com.
2. What we collect
Account. Your email address, and your password in the form our sign-in provider stores (we never see or store it as plain text). We use them to create your account and sign you in. If you add your name, people in your workspaces and people you invite can see it. You can change or remove it at any time.
What you make. Your projects (the email designs, subject lines and preview text), your brand kit (logo, colors, fonts, button style), your saved sections, and images you upload.
Technical records. Our servers keep short technical logs (never your email content or passwords).
Support messages. What you send us when you write to us, by email or through the in-app Help and feedback form.
Purchases. Dodo collects your payment details; we never see your card. Dodo tells us what you bought and the order number. To match a purchase to your account, we keep a coded form of the email address you bought with.
3. How we use it
We use your information to run MailSketch: to create and protect your account, store and show your projects, compile and export your emails, keep the Service safe (for example by limiting abuse), fix problems, answer your messages, and meet legal duties. We do not sell your information. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
6. Images you upload
- Images are re-encoded before they are shown.
- Images used in your emails can be viewed by anyone who has their link, so that email programs can show them.
- A deleted image can be restored for 30 days, then it is removed. Email programs that cache images (such as Gmail) may keep copies that we cannot remove.
7. AI drafting
Only the brief you write is sent to OpenAI. We keep your brief and any unused result for up to 24 hours, and a basic usage record for accounting. OpenAI keeps requests for up to 30 days to check for abuse and doesn't use them to train its models.

9. Your choices and rights
Export. You can export each project as HTML or as a ZIP from inside MailSketch.
Delete. You can delete projects and workspaces yourself. To delete your whole account, use Delete account in your account settings. You are signed out and the account is locked at once. We delete your account and its content within 31 days (team workspaces you own wait 30 days in the bin first), except backups (up to 7 days longer) and records we must keep by law.
Access and correction. Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, at support@mailsketch.com.
If you are in California. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to delete it or correct it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it), and not to be treated unfairly for using these rights. We collected these kinds of information in the last 12 months: identifiers (your email address); the content you create (designs, brand kit, images); and technical records (redacted logs). We use them only for the purposes in section 3.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and move your data, to object to how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. Our legal bases for using your data are: to provide the Service you asked for (contract), to keep it safe and fix it (our legitimate interests), and to meet legal duties.

10. Children
MailSketch is not for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Where your information is processed
MailSketch and its providers store and process your information in the United States. If you use MailSketch from another country, your information goes to the United States.
12. Security
We protect your information with access controls, encryption in transit, redacted logs and limits on abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for changes that matter, tell you by email or in the product before they apply.
